“Dog No. 14”

(…is really just another cat painting!)
16”x20” encaustic/ mixed media, 2025 April.
Inspired by Mark Rothko’s No. 14 (1960), Gustav Klimt’s Judith and Holofernes (1901), my cat Saga and my dog Dexter.

To be fair, the video of Saga and Dexter was captured in 2021 when they were still getting to know each other. They have done some great work on their relationship since, and no animals were harmed in the process of creating this post. :)
