“(Mental) Projection”

20”x24” encaustic/ mixed media, 2022 July. Darkness and shadows don’t exist without light… This piece is about expressing deep self-compassion and finding our own rescuer within ourselves at the edge of desperation and hopelessness; even if this possibility seems like an illusion at first. (The figurine is on the top of my imaginary version of the Half Dome in Yosemite Valley.)
